Are You There God? It’s Me, Krista.

It’s late. Everyone is sound asleep and I feel alone. I’m in more pain than usual; you never get used to pain, but do notice when it’s particularly worse.

A lasting ache can take over your body and slowly destroy the healthy things you have left. You begin to lose sleep, which makes it really hard to function during the day and makes the pain even more unbearable.

I’m mad at God.

People say He can take it and I hope that’s true. I hope this doesn’t make Him mad at me. My heart hurts and I feel like God doesn’t care about me anymore. My prayers aren’t working, so I’ve asked other people — more diligent Christians — to pray for me.

My faith has been put to the test and I am failing. I want it back more than anything but I don’t understand why God isn’t healing me, and that is breaking me.

Please pray for me. I want more than anything to feel strong in my faith regardless of what is going on in this world.

Sincerely,
Struggling

Just for the record Krista, you are one of the reinvest Christians I know. The savior gave his entire life to serve and lift others and that is you. You were there for me when I moved across the country alone and desperately needed a friend. You were there for me through my spiritual journey that caused me to lose a lot of friends. You have always been there and always will. I believe that God let his perfect son walk through hell and experience hell every day when he was on the earth so that when we are hurting and wonder where God is, we can at least take comfort in knowing that someone so much greater than us has been there before. And he did it so that at least one soul could relate to us in our lowest lows. God wants our whole hearts and I have seen you give him and other that time and time again. You are the most Christ like woman I have ever met. He could never love you any less. I’m sorry you’re going through this. You don’t deserve it but I know he will use you as he always has to help others come out on top too. I love you Krista. Thank you for always being there ❤️

Our greatest ministry often comes from our deepest pain and struggle. The Lord will use whatever you are enduring to strengthen you and strengthen your purpose and ministry to others. Even if it takes a very long time to reveal itself. Hang in there! You’ll be in my prayers!!
